Gumshoe is a platform that creates one central place for true crime enthusiasts to interact with cases that interest them, and connect with other community members who have a passion for following true crime stories.CASES- Cases can only be added to the platform by a Community Manager or Staff Member. This is intentional to preserve the integrity and accuracy of what is being discussed.- Case moderation and organization can be given to users as needed.- Each case has its own activity feed, discussion board, and an area to upload documents and photos.- Dont see a case you follow? Easily request our team to add it to the platform.- Filter and browse cases by type, # of members, or how active each case is.COMMUNITY FEED- View and interact with conversations taking place across the community. - Narrow down what is displayed on your feed based on the cases you follow, the members youve connected with, and content youve engaged with.SOCIAL- Only a valid email address is required to register. Other members will only see the nickname youve chosen.- Each member can upload a profile photo, cover banner, and answer specific true crime questions that populate their profile page.- Private message members youve connected with.- Follow other members activity.- Robust privacy/notification settings.- Member Directory that allows you to easily find other true crime enthusiasts who follow the same cases as you, listen to the same podcasts, etc.SUPPORT- This platform is continuously being improved.
